About Hato Press
Suggest a correctionFounded in East London in 2009 by Jackson Lam and Ken Kirton to make printing and production more accessible to artists. Hato runs a design studio, a risograph press, a publishing house and Hato Labo, alongside Learn with Hato - a curated programme of risograph, bookbinding, design and typography workshops, most of them free. The press moved to the Golden Lane Estate in 2022 and opened a nearby retail space in 2024.
