Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy describes how Print Club Society (“we,” “us,” or “the Society”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit printclubsociety.comor use any of our services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information collected automatically as you use the Service, and information from third parties where you have authorized them to share it with us.
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, and a password (stored hashed) when you create an account, claim a club listing, or subscribe to a paid plan.
- Club submissions — listing copy, links, images, and contact details you submit on behalf of a print club.
- Member reviews — text, ratings, and any photo proof you upload when reviewing a club.
- Correspondence — messages you send through the contact form or by emailing us directly.
- Payment details — handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers; we retain only a token and the last four digits for receipts.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, and approximate timing, used to improve the Service.
- Device data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and language preferences.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate traffic.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Create and authenticate your account, and process payments and subscriptions;
- Review submissions, edit listings, and moderate member reviews;
- Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, listing updates) and, with your consent, occasional editorial communications;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in the following limited ways:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing partners that act on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Publicly displayed content — club listings, published reviews, and author bylines are intentionally public on the Service.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep sessions active and remember preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage; you can opt out using your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools. Disabling cookies may cause parts of the Service to stop working.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Submitted listings and published reviews may remain visible after your account is closed; you can request removal as described below.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted transport (TLS), hashed credentials, access controls, and audited service providers — to protect information. No internet service is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to certain uses of your personal information. You can update most account information from your dashboard, or contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within the time periods required by applicable law.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
International transfers
We operate from the United States and may process information in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service.
